"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed." Proverbs 19:17
My Sonshine Foundation was created in loving honor and memory of Amari Mitchell - beloved son, grandson, nephew, beau, friend, entrepreneur, confidante, fantastic cook, talented athlete, impactor, trendsetter, and most importantly, a child of God - who tragically and unexpectedly passed away on November 23, 2021. Amari had BIG plans and a BIG heart. He especially had great compassion for the homeless and underprivileged and had plans to build a homeless shelter.
In alignment with Amari's plans, My Sonshine Foundation supports homeless and underprivileged individuals and families, as well as organizations that have similar missions. Recipients are determined by the Board of Directors.
My Sonshine Foundation also supports bereaved parents. The pain of losing a child compares to nothing! It is excruciating, heart-wrenching, and surreal. My Sonshine Foundation helps bereaved parents get the help that is undoubtedly needed and reassure parents that they are not alone. If you or someone you know has experienced this unimaginable loss, please visit the Help for Bereaved Parents tab, email mysonshinefoundation@gmail.com, and/or call 770-376-7115 for support.
